By my signature below, the undersigned hereby affirms that:

• Each of the persons participating in and/or attending the Heart of America Star Party is hereby releasing the Astronomical Society of Kansas City, the officers, directors, vendors, agents, independent contractors and organizers (“Providers”) of the Heart of America Star Party from any and all liability due to injuries or damages received or sustained arising out of or occasioned by the actions or inactions of the Providers in the execution or performance of activities or events connected with the Heart of America Star Party.
  • The undersigned further waives any claim that they, their heirs, successors, assigns, or personal representatives may have against the Providers for any or all accidents, injuries, or losses that they (or members of their registered group) may incur while participating in or traveling to or from the Heart of America Star Party.
  • The undersigned also agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Providers for any costs incurred (including legal fees and court costs) in defending any action brought against the Providers as a result of the undersigned’s participation in the Heart of America Star Party. This includes any COVID-19 related problems.
  • The undersigned further agrees that the premises are principally farmland and that the Astronomical Society of Kansas City has no obligation to improve it or make it safe for the undersigned as a guest or invitee. Any utilization of the facilities or land is strictly agreed to be at the sole risk of the participant(s).
  • The signature on this form also constitutes the agreement to the release of liability, waiver and indemnification of all persons traveling with the participant, spouses, relatives, minor children, or anyone else under the participant’s care or in attendance or connected with the participant. The signature on this form also constitutes the agreement of all of the above that the registration fee and/or attendance constitute consideration for the release, liability waiver and indemnification.
  • The signature on this form also constitutes agreement that the names of all attendees and participants, adults and children, are listed on the face of the registration form.

Late Registration and Refund Policy
Late registrants and walk-ins are $75, but we cannot guarantee meals or merchandise availability. Please do not mail registration after Sept. 2. Instead, call AND email at the contact info below with your intention to attend, along with number of attendees, and any meals and/or merchandise. You can then register when you arrive. No refunds after Sept. 2nd. IF ASKC CANCELS THE EVENT, FULL REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
